Coldest and Hottest place

Death Valley

The hottest place is Death Valley. Death Valley is a desert valley located in Eastern California in the northern Mojave Desert bordering the Great Basin Desert. It is one of the hottest places in the world.  Death Valley's Furnace Creek holds the record for the highest reliably recorded air temperature on Earth at 134 °F or 56.7 °C on July 10, 1913, as well as the highest recorded natural ground surface temperature on Earth at 201 °F or 93.9 °C on July 15, 1972. Death Valley looks like a mountain desert. The animal that lives in Death Valley is desert bighorn sheep, desert cottontail, Roadrunner, Mojave fringe-toed lizard, Kitfox and pupfish.

Vostok weather Station
The Coldest uninhabited Place on Earth. The absolute coldest place on Earth is in Antarctica. Where Scientists at the National Snow and Ice Data Center used satellites to measure the lowest recorded temperature ever at minus-133.6 degrees Fahrenheit. It looks like a snow desert. The animal that lives in Antarctica is the penguin, bird, Fish and marine animal. These animal have adapted to the cold in Antarctica.

Antarctica and Death Valley are similar because they are both desert. The animal that lives in this place has adapted.

Tarzan

Two Worlds, What this means to you? Two Worlds what it means to me is two place where you belong. Family, it means to me because family do not determine.
Messages from the movie?
A message from the movie Tarzan is the environment and its inhabitants should be respected. This is because if the environment gets destroyed we be dead we have to live with the environment to survive. We saw this in the scene where Clayton cut down the bamboo forest and shooting to scare off the animal. This is why I think it is important to the environment and us. It makes me think about the animal and the environment. In an ideal world, we need more protection to the environment.

Genetically Modified Organism

Aim: to play God using GMO

What is GMO?
A GMO, or genetically modified organism, is a plant, animal, microorganism or other organisms whose genetic makeup has been modified in a laboratory using genetic engineering or transgenic technology. This creates combinations of plant, animal, bacterial and virus genes that do not occur in nature or through traditional crossbreeding methods. GMO is the same as selected breeding but GMO is an upgraded version.

We can't use GMO so we made animal and plant made of clay using our imagination.
1. Get clay.
2. Get wire.
3. Shaping the wire into a skeleton of the animal or plant.
4. Put clay around the wire skeleton.
5. Do detail on the clay model.
6. Leave the clay model to dry.
7. Paint the clay model and leave it to dry.
8. Done.

Discussion:
I learned what is GMO to show my learning I use clay to make a GMO animal. This is the genetically modified snake I give it wings because ancient snake have legs so I genetically modified the snake legs into wings and its scale become like the feather. I also genetically modified its bone to become hollow and its legs muscle to become stronger so it can fly. In real life, this would take a long time. First, you need to turn on the gene in the nucleus of the legs making you see ancient snake has legs but now it disappears but modern snakes do have a gene to make legs. Feathers are made from keratin and scale are made from keratin too if we study how a bird made feathers we can edit the scale gene code to be like a feather. For the two adaptations we can do the same thing as the feather study other animals and edit the snake gene to look like it.

Personal values and Culture

I have been learning about Hauora. We start off with spiritual well being it about what is important to you for me is Creativity is important to me because it helps me work in a different way it helps me to be more capable to do stuff. I use my creativity in science and Epro8. I have to find the fasted way to build stuff in Epro8 and in science I have to find the easy way to answer the question. Sometimes people don’t respect my creativity but I don’t really care what people say I’m an independent person. I'm a Buddhist we celebrate this Lao new year we have the biggest water fight ever. we do it because is in the summertime and it really hot in Lao. We do it with everyone.

Human Rights

We chose Right no.30 ( No one can take your human rights Away) because its
a general concept/ rule connecting to basically all the human rights.

We chose education as our second most important because we think basics knowledge
is needed for overall needs.

We chose everyone has the right to Freedom, though, religion as our third choice
because it covers everyone as an equal human being.

We chose the right to speak as our as our fourth option because everyone should be
able to speak their mind/thoughts and be able to express themselves/feelings.

We chose Everyone charged with a penal offence has the right to be presumed
innocent until proved guilty as our fifth option because you should not be convicted
of a criminal penalty that you have not committed or taken part of.

My sketch

Have you improved with shading? Yes, I have improved.
Do you understand that using a structure can help you draw better (light loose lines under your work)?
explain what this means to a reader. drawing the structure help you draw better because if you make a mistake you can fix it. What are you going to work on going forward in pencil drawing in and out of class? to make my drawing look more real.
