Digestive process for human
All food that is chewed up into a bolus. The bolus is swallowed and moved through the oesophagus. It moves down the oesophagus in a wave-like motion called peristalsis. Peristalsis is a series of wave-like muscle contractions that moves food to different processing stations in the digestive tract. The process of peristalsis begins in the oesophagus when a bolus of food is swallowed. The strong wave-like motions of the smooth muscle in the oesophagus carry the food to the stomach, where it is churned into a liquid mixture called chyme. Next, the peristalsis continues in the small intestine where it mixes and shifts the chyme back and forth, allowing nutrients to be absorbed into the bloodstream through the small intestine walls also the liver absorbed the nutrients from the small intestine. The liver is a large, meaty organ that sits on the right side of the belly. Peristalsis concludes in the large intestine where water from the undigested food material is absorbed into the bloodstream. Finally, the remaining waste products are excreted from the body through the rectum and anus.
Oesophagus
The oesophagus is a long, muscular tube that connects your mouth and stomach. The walls of the oesophagus contract and move like a wave which is called Peristalsis. This moves the food down the oesophagus to the stomach.
Stomach
The stomach is an acid bag thing that secretes acid and enzymes that digest food. The stomach is a muscular organ located on the left side of the upper abdomen. The stomach muscles contract periodically so the acid doesn't burn the oesophagus.
Small Intestine
The Small Intestine looks like a brain but it for digestive. The Small Intestine is located between the stomach and the large intestine. The Small Intestine wall absorbed the nutrients into the bloodstream.
Liver
The Liver is a large, meaty organ that sits on the right side of the belly. Also, the liver absorbed the nutrients from the small intestine. The liver plays an important role in digesting fat.
Large Intestine
The intestines are a long, continuous tube running from the stomach to the anus. The large intestine where water from the undigested food material is absorbed into the bloodstream. The large intestine removed useless waste material from the body.
