Wind is the movement of gas. On the surface of the Earth, wind consists of the bulk movement of air. In outer space, solar wind is the movement of gases or charged particles from the sun through space, while planetary wind is the outgassing of light chemical elements from the planet's atmosphere into space.

there are four types, they blow from North,South,East and West.

Northerly:

Southerly:
A south wind is a wind that originates in the south and blows north.

Easterly:
A wind, especially a prevailing wind, that blows from the east.

Westerly:
A wind that blows from the west an occasional westerly that pommeled the island.
